BMW

BMV Catfish CD cover

Tim Williams has partnered with Big Dave McLean and inventive percussionist Kevin Belzner to bring you a mix of original and traditional blues.

BMW came into being at the Edmonton International Blues Festival when they got together onstage. Kevin Belzner (stand-up cocktail drums), Big Dave McLean (guitars/vocals/harmonica), and Tim Williams (guitars/mandolin/vocals) create a very cool mix of classic and obscure blues tunes by others plus a hefty number of originals which can sit comfortably alongside of them – Delta, Hill Country, Chicago, West Coast, Hokum and more.

Jimmy and the Sleepers

Jimmy and the Sleepers

Jimmy and the Sleepers are a gritty, genuine house rockin’ blues band based in Edmonton, Alberta. For years Edmonton has had a modest, but reverent blues scene which has fostered a blues sound a little more traditional. Blues is alive in Edmonton and Jimmy and the Sleepers are disciples of the sound and dedicated to it’s roots. Band members include Jimmy Guiboche (guitar), Alex Varughese (vocals), Dan Shinnan (harmonica), Chris Brzezicki (bass) and Bill Hobson (drums). After smouldering like an underground fire they are more ready than ever to burn out of the frozen Alberta north and showcase their Edmonton-styled blues to the world.

Jimmy and the Sleepers last appeared at the Winter Blues festival as Boogaloo and closed down the highly successful Saturday night show with people wanting more, more, more. Unfortunately due to time constraints they were not able to comply at that time, but are looking forward to giving Saskatoon a full show this time around in the intimate confines of The Bassment. These guys are world class. You will not be disappointed!
