You gotta... VOLUNTEER:

“You gotta help me baby; I can’t do it all by myself…”
- Sonny Boy Williamson

Hey, would you like to be a vital part in ensuring that the 5th edition of the Saskatoon Blues Festival is a resounding success…. and hear some great Blues? If your answer is “yes”, how about becoming a volunteer?

The perks of the job include hearing some fine music, working with great people, getting up close and personal with the various acts, and doing your heart good by providing information services, accessibility co-ordination, on-site production, hospitality services, and on-site fundraising, to name a few. We’ll be sure to accommodate you with volunteer shifts that will still give you plenty of time to enjoy the Festival.
If you would like more information please print out the Volunteer Application available here.

2007 SBF Volunteer Application

The application form lists many of the jobs available to volunteers as well as all the information you need to get on the team.

2007 Volunteer Information
Well here is your opportunity to be a part of the Festival. We require lots of help to make this Festival the best yet. If you haven't already joined the Socoeity, do so now, as shifts and duties are filled first from members.

We have listed some of the positions below that we need to fill during our Festival. Volunteers at the Venues working a regular shift are certainly welcome to stay for the entire evening at that venue, that makes volunteering a great way to keep your pennies in your pocket, contribute to the Festival and take in some great music at the same time. All volunteers are given free passes to the Sunday Windup Party at the Off Broadway Theatre. We will be holding a volunteers evening, training and information session at the Great Western hospitality room prior to the Festival.

The positions we need to fill are listed first by full evening commitments, then by shift commitments and finally by pre/post show activities. When you volunteer please let us know your preferences and we will try our best to accommodate you. Most positions will be filled on a first come first served basis. We appreciate all volunteers whether it is helping us with one assignment or the person that tackles multiple duties.
